Tasting notes from our wineswinging trip to Brick House Vineyard in Willamette Valley of Oregon.
2015 Cuvée du Tonnelier Pinot Noir comes from the original (1990) planting of Pommard clone vines. The winemaker picked the name to honor his father’s ancestors who were coopers in 17th century France. It comes from the original planting of Pommard clone vines in 1990.
It starts with earthy and vegetative notes on the nose and continues with ripe cherry and touch of smoke.
On the palate, it’s silky and cherry-licious with hints of chocolate. It will make you come back again and again for another sip.
2015 Cuvée du Tonnelier Pinot Noir delivers a complex taste that one may expect from the 25-year-old vine in the great vintage year.
