Luc Belaire Gold Brut

Luc Belaire Gold Brut

Luc Belaire Gold Brut comes from Burgundy, yet the flavors might take you someplace else when you taste it.

Fruity and lively, it might be a perfect choice for a romantic date, wedding reception, and even a late-night impromptu celebration.

In the Bottle of Luc Belaire Gold Brut

Luc Belaire Gold Brut is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It is created at the Maison, established in 1898, where sixth-generation winemakers oversee each bottle’s production.

Aromas

We sensed baked and fresh yellow apples, pear pastry, yellow plum, candied orange, sweet pastry cream.

Flavors

On the palate, Baked pear, citrus peel, a touch of mango and white pepper

Food Pairing

In our opinion, it is a wine to start with or to finish a meal. Unless it is the only wine, you plan to drink all evening, of course.

Light appetizers like Smoked Salmon Spread or baked savory pastry would complement Gold Brut. We wouldn’t be very picky choosing the appetizer, though.

For the dessert, we would try cream brulee or light citrusy cheesecake. Gold Brut will complement the rich flavors of the dessert and add freshness to the palate.

Overall

Luc Belaire Gold Brut creates a sensation of an off-dry sparkling with an elegant and dry aftertaste. Finely structured and beautifully presented, it resembles a young girl in a light floral-print dress with a dreamy smile on her face.

We noticed that many online retailers call it is a classic example of Burgundy champagne. We don’t think so. Gold Brut is slightly different and rather is an example of the new style that sits somewhere between the classic Champagne and the new world fruit-forward sparkling.

It is very pleasing no matter what you know about wine, so we hope you try it soon and let us know how your expectations met the experience!
