Willamette Valley Wine Pods

What are Willamette Valley wine pods?

A new and very creative way for a winery to stay in business these days!
Willamette Valley Vineyards, an Oregon winery, offers wine lovers a unique experience of tasting wine and dining in a safe and friendly environment.

The pods are getting cleaned after each use. They can be reserved for a group of up to four people. However, local news is already reporting high demand for the wine pods and sold out weekend reservations up to mid-March this year.

The Willamette Valley Vineyards team members are sure other wineries will pick up this creative solution. As Willamette Valley visitors, we couldn’t agree more.

During the spring months, the weather in Oregon can be soaking. Tasting wine outside in cold rain is not a very attractive idea for many people. Having experience tasting wine on a frigid and breezy morning out during the Pour Oregon event taught us that outside temperature variations might affect our ability to detect aromas. After all, feeling cold is not part of the pleasant food and wine tasting experience. And this has become a primary reason for us to avoid winery visits during winter.

We are eager to see this trend developing in Oregon and Washington. Most wineries have enough space to add similar structures to their properties. Oregon wine lovers and state visitors can’t wait to return to regular wine tastings and dining! We feel very optimistic about this creative idea!

What do you think? Will this initiative save winery businesses in Oregon? Will it help both the wine lover community and businesses to continue operating and enjoying wine?
