The list of the best Champagne and Sparkling wines we tasted in 2021 might help you choose that perfect bottle for the holiday party, sabrage, or other special occasions.
We used a very scientific method of “trial and error” and put our liver on the lane, tasting hundreds of sparkling wines. How did we pick the winners? They were supposed to meet one or more conditions:
– we asked ourselves if we would buy it again or
– if wine kept evolving while we sipped it; or
– if the wine was complex enough to keep us puzzled; or
– if the aftertaste was long and we couldn’t help but smile
